Accommodation and facilities:
We have now stayed at the Pinnacle many times over the years and have rarely had any cause for complaint. Our most recent two trips, both for three days, within a fortnight of each other, in December were very pleasant.
The hotel staff are ALL very helpful and we struck up an especially good relationship with receptionist Khun Sonsawan and one of the porters, whose name we forget…but thanks. They were very good especially with our eight year old son.
The rooms are mostly of a similar standard, very clean with most things in very good condition. Some have recently been refurbished and the beds are very comfortable. The air conditioning works well and, on our second stay, we were given a room on the tenth floor which had a stunning view over much of the city of Bangkok.
The hotel is ideally located for access to the Expressway, less than a kilometre to the access road in each direction, to Lumpini Park – an oasis of recreational facilities just off Rama IV Road – and the Silom complex which includes the notorious Patpong area.
The famous Lumpini Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) Stadium is immediately across the main road with fights taking place three times a week I believe, certainly on Tuesday when we were there.
Several restaurants, both indoor and out, are within minutes walking distance, as are a 7/11 and a Tesco Express store, with a small night market on the other side of Rama IV Road, easily accessed by a footbridge.
The hotel made a special effort for the foreign residents in decorating for Christmas and the inclusive breakfast is always very varied, both Thai and western, and to a fairly high standard. The eggs department is especially good for fired and omlettes, although struggles to understand soft-boiled eggs!
A small car-park is available to those with their own transport and again this is over seen by a member of staff, while the Lumpini Metro Station and all it connects to is maybe 500m walk. Many buses go in a multitude of directions along Rama IV Rd and between them, they connect to almost anything in the city.
The 14th floor outdoor swimming pool is small but clean and, again, the view from it makes the journey up one of the two efficient lifts worthwhile. There are a few tables and chairs nearby which make the outdoor retreat a good place just to go and sit and chat or even work (that’s what I did). The jacouzi didn’t appear to be working fully when we were there.
Wifi is available on all floors but the signal varies, although we never had a problem using it and the strength of signal in reception, where there is a large a pleasant lobby area, is always fine.
The Hotel runs several special offers (3 nights for 2 or 20% discount) which make the rooms good value for money, although without them the ‘rack’ room rates might be deemed a little expensive compared to the massive amount of competition now in the area.

Sawasdee.com were very efficient and we like to use as they maintain an excellent and informative website for travellers to Thailand.

What can I say....food is average. Staff are quiet. Its located in a back pocket...but within 5 mins of MRT. Pool was dirty and tasted of overkill on chlorine....but I cant complain much more at 4000bht for 3 nights with breakfast....and nno dvd player as mentioned in hotel summary and massage shop was closed everyday and room telephone would nott call out. welcome to bangkok :(
Reservation service:
as usual service from sawadee was prompt and proffesional...its a shame about the hotels

Stora beakfast många olika saker äter för och dricka. Gud hotellet om du stannar ett par dagar i Bangkok för detta pris. Lätt bli för en taxi eller tuktuk . Jacuzzi var liten smutsig men poolen var bra.

It was very sad to see their behavior towards clients who have booked the rooms through websites at cheaper rates compared to at their counters.
Rooms were very very old.
Staff not pleasant.
Overall would never recommend this hotel.
Reservation service:
very prompt.
they confirmed the booking in like 15 min as i had to check in the very same day.

The Pinnacle Lumpinee is not bad, but their standard rooms are too small and in our room the aircon wasnt working so we had to change room and the drain in the bathroom was clogged.... Good service, but I would recommend the Forum Park hotel instead. Sathorn area, starting at only 1100 for large refurbished rooms. RES24ASIA.COM was as efficient as ever.
Reservation service:
Booking with RES24ASIA.COM was smooth as usual, will always book with them again. Fast service and great rates.
